Due to a show on the Crocus / Lavotchkin tour being pulled midway through, everyone went back to Zak We Hearts house for an impromptu basement show. It was wild and drunken. I hated it as I’d just had my chest tattooed by Liam (Trencher) and felt rank. The next night was the scheduled basement show, and it was just as crazy as the night before. It was really busy, lots of old friends and familiar faces came down. Silent Front were as brilliant as always, Crocus were as wild as always, Lavotchkin were as heavy as always, but the evening belonged to Andtheywillriot! who blew everyone away with their first show back in a long time. They were loud, dense and heavy yet subtle and beautiful. Totally immense.
